Radio One, Inc. has aligned its local and network radio groups under the leadership of David Kantor, President and CEO of Reach Media, the syndicated radio business of Radio One — Kantor has been named Chief Executive Officer of Radio One’s Radio Segment and will now have oversight of Radio One’s 54 stations in 16 markets while maintaining his current leadership of Reach Media. I’m excited about his leadership of our network and local radio business and I have every confidence that he will do an outstanding job.” David KantorAs President of ABC Radio Networks in the 1990’s, Kantor refined the programming lineup while creating new programming that included the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Radio Disney and ESPN Radio along with new content services and advertising networks. As SVP for Network Operations at AMFM Inc. he launched a premium radio network in 1996 that eventually sold to Clear Channel in 2000. In 2003 Kantor and Tom Joyner co-founded Reach Media, providing syndicated radio programming, events and digital content to the African-American community. “I know this business,” Kantor said. “I started my career in local radio and in every network position I’ve had, I’ve touched local radio.
