BET has announced the schedule for its upcoming docu-series “Inside the Label,” which tells the true stories behind some of hip hop’s iconic record companies.  The series premieres May 17th with an episode dedicated to Uptown Records.  Founder Andre Harrell will be among the industry insiders providing first-hand accounts of Uptown’s evolution, impact and legacy. Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Guy’s Teddy Riley and Damion Hall will also share their perspectives.  Subsequent one-hour episodes will focus on the labels Grand Hustle, Loud Records, Slip-N-Slide, Terror Squad, Ruff Ryders, Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP) and Murder Inc.  Below is the complete list of interviewees to be featured in each episode:
