J cole and K104

J. Cole visited Dallas for an in-depth listening session of “2014 Forest Hills Drive”!Among the intimate setting, K104’s Geo Cook, Bay Bay, Priya, and KiKi J were able to hear the album before it drops December 9th. J. Cole mentioned the interesting history behind “2014 Forest Hills Drive” which is the address to his new house in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. “I didn’t know conceptually what it was going to be. I just knew that I had to come right back. I wasn’t satisfied with the first album…” Cole says of Born Sinner.

Service Broadcasting’s Operations Manager, George Cook mentioned to J. Cole,
“…this album will prove how much you have evolved. It’s important for people to know
your story in this unique way. Ultimately, this project will ignite more passion and
interest in you as an artist and as a man.” J. Cole is serious when it comes to his
music, and shows it on each track. Bay Bay, K104’s afternoon drive jock, acknowledged Cole’s growth stating, “I’m a fan of your struggle and your journey to be successful and happy. I’m rocking with you on this album, Salute.”

Before wrapping up the listening session Cole explained that he wants to
reconnect with his small-town life and relationships to rediscover “real happiness” along
with the truth about Hollywood. This Roc Nation artist is unbothered by the release date
of his album on December 9th competing against Lil Wayne’s “Carter V”, and stands
firmly behind the final project of “2014 Forest Hills Drive”.
