Changes at Hot 97 New York

WQHT-New York’s Hot 97 has named Pio Ferro as PD while Jay Dixon steps into a consultancy for Emmis. Ferro most recently programmed WPOW-Miami’s Power 96, and his lengthy resume also includes a stint as National PD for Spanish Broadcasting System, and CBS Radio’s Dallas-based VP of Hispanic Programming. He began his radio career at the age of 15 at WXDJ-Miami and was named PD of KLVE-Los Angeles when he was 21. Hot 97 also adds Nessa to afternoon drive. Nessa most recently did nights at KYLD-San Francisco’s Wild 94.9.
