Broadcaster Dee Rollins- Britt Wins Gospel Image Award

Veteran broadcaster Dee “Lady Dee” Rollins-Britt is yet again a winner! Dee is the recipient of the 2015 Gospel Image Award for Best Gospel Radio Show. The ceremony took place last weekend in Charlotte, NC to a capacity crowd. Dee was featured in The Urban Buzz in July 2013 as she transitioned from secular mainstream radio to inspirational/gospel radio. Her show, “Powerful Praise,” is the top rated show on New Jersey’s Stellar Award winning station WXXY/WEHA-FM.

She states, “I’ve been in the industry for thirty-two years and honestly didn’t know about the Gospel Image Awards until after some loyal station listeners submitted my name and started the voting process. I was honored to be included as a nominee but more surprised when they called my name at the ceremony as the award recipient! I love ministering to people over the air waves. It more gratifying than secular radio because I’m seeing the results of uplifting, empowering and motivating people. No doubt, this career acknowledgement is very close to my heart and only second to my treasured award from Jack The Rapper, who encouraged me to stay in the game when I was about to throw in the towel. I hope I’ve made him proud.”

As one with an eye for talent, Dee is also branching out as manager of gospel artist BaShir Hogue who is due to release an EP in early 2016.
