nbpclogo_NBPC Atlanta matriarch Marsha Washington George says she’s thankful for the support that made the 9th annual BBQ a huge success. She adds, “The event was a success because it provided the opportunity for everyone to network and make great business deals as we did in the past. “

I clearly observed the camaraderie between seasoned industry veterans offering priceless advice to those on “the come up.” It does renew a hope that our industry will not erode.

With performers coming from as far away as Ohio and New Jersey, the news of NBPC Atlanta’s relaunch and relevance continues to spread. Many industry veterans agreed this was the best event they’d attended in quite some time and “buzzing” about teen vocalist KiKi Evans who emerged as the showstopper. The desire for the NBPC to expand and become inclusive of all aspects of entertainment, not exclusively radio programmers was evidenced in the wide spectrum of attendees. Former NBPC Atlanta VP and WVEE Air Personality, Terry Bello added, “it was refreshing to see the caliber of talent Marsha presented and great to re-connect with friends. I am happy to see that the organization has not become dormant.”
