K104’s Kiki J is blogging about hot Dallas artist Ashley Kimbrae, daughter of KDKS-Shreveport- program director, Quinn Echols. Kimbrae who is beginning to make a name for herself will be appearing on the BET Music Matters showcase at SOB’s in New York City September 10. She has also appeared at BET Music Matters stage at the BET Awards and also appeared on 106 & Park
In addition to singing, Kimbrae is business savvy. She earned a degree in marketing at Sam Houston State University and she worked as an intern at Music World Entertainment. Her first single “Drop 64” was a hit in the south. Proud “poppa” Echols says he is ecstatic. “Obviously I am very proud of her”, he said. “When Ashley was 15 years old, we knew she had pipes. She is blessed and fortunate to be where she is right now.” Don’t be surprised if you see Kimbrae signed to a major real soon.

Watch out! Ashley kimbrae’s old sound is exactly what the R&B world is missing. Lets get back to the old Monica and Brandy sound. She is great!
